Pure Heart
Fresh, Progressive Southern Gospel
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!! "Pure Heart A Cappella: At Your Request" is now available for purchase.
Since it's creation by John and Sheila Thomas in 1992, Pure Heart has had the opportunity to minister to thousands of hearts all over the US. Their heart is sing of Salvation to the lost and joy and strength to the hurting. In a time of fear and uncertainty, this message has never been so important.
With a top 40 song, a Horizon Award Nomination, and other accolades, Pure Heart remains focused on their purpose of ministry. They strive to give their very best musically and personally to the Savior as an offering of praise and thanksgiving.
John Thomas is the manager and sings bass. He and his wife, Sheila, have written most of Pure Heart's music. John's work behind the scenes calling churches and booking often goes unnoticed, but is obviously very important to the ministry. He also engineered and produced the soon-to-be-released a cappella project. John works as a teacher/counsellor at Teen Challenge in Chattanooga, TN.
Sheila Thomas sings alto and handles trip arrangements, product purchasing, and other such tasks. Her work, too often goes unseen but makes Pure Heart's ministry possible. She, too, works at Teen Challenge as the Women's Intake Coordinator and Administrative Assistant.
John and Sheila have a son, Mitchell, who along with his amazing athletic skill, promises to be an excellent musician. The Thomas family resides in Chickamauga, GA.
Heather Craig is their soprano and manages the website, promotion, and does some booking and song composition. Heather works at Unum as a Leave Management Specialist and enjoys working with her church choir when not singing with Pure Heart. Along with her four cats, Heather and her mother share a home in Rossville, GA.
Brian Henry sings baritone and is a great asset to the group with his musical knowledge, ear, and amazing ability to make bookings. He also assists Heather editing images and sound files for the website. Brian and his wife, Mary Beth, live in Fort Payne, AL where he works at his long-time employer of Gametime.
Pure Heart is closing out 2008 strong with the upcoming release of "Pure Heart A Cappella: At Your Request." After many requests by their fans for an all- a cappella project, God allowed them to produce the project in-house. Featuring songs including "What God's Gonna Do," "Oh, How I Love Jesus," "How Beautiful Heaven Must Be," "Where Could I Go," and ten others, it's sure to be a favorite of many!
Check out Pure Heart locally on November 23 at 1st Baptist Church Lakeview at 6pm or on New Year's Eve at Redeemed's 2nd Annual New Year's Eve Sing at East Ridge Church of the Nazarene at 7pm.

If you are using wireless mics, and who isn’t, here is some info you might need. In February 2009 all TV stations will go to HD. Sorry, you knew that. There are a lot of wireless mics and wireless ear monitors that operate in the 700 frequencies. Now you got it, the new HD will broadcast in 700 frequencies. The TV stations will run a block and filter on their signal to block any other 700 signals from interfering with their signal. You had better hold on to those old wired mics and floor monitors for now. G-O-O-D N-E-W-S !!!

This site was created to give the greater Chattanooga Area residents information about the concerts and church events. So many times we hear, "I would have attended your singing if I had known where it was." So this site was formed.
It is our intention to keep ALL church events and ALL our members’ concerts posted. By having a central place for information, our goal is to increase the attendance at concerts and events, which means we are increasing the chances to win more souls for Christ.
To become a member the cost is only $69.00 per year (about $1.33 per week). OR $39.00 for 6 mos. Membership entitles you to post all your events, run classified ads and to have a hard link back to your group site. It is a great site for churches to view and be able to hear samples from several groups at one place. Also your membership entitles you to discounts on everything groups need, from sound equipment to banners and backdrops, as well as web sites for your group and /or church.
